Vote For Best XXL Cover of the Millennium
Date 20/01/2010 11:23  Author Shady  Hits 297  Language Global

The votes are in. After giving a year-by-year rundown of every single XXL cover of the past 10 years and allowing fans to vote for their favorites, we’ve tallied up all the ballots and have the top 10 covers by year.

Some years, like 2003’s monumental Eminem, 50 Cent and Dr. Dre cover (64% of the popular vote) and Jay-Z’s 2005 cover with Lebron James and the then-Roc-A-Fella roster (41% of the popular vote), there was a clear-cut winner, pulling in landslide victories. In other cases, there were close calls, like Dr. Dre’s 2004 cover with Aftermath (23% of the popular vote) just edging out Dave Chappelle’s All-Star cover by 37 votes, or Nas’s 100th issue cover in 2008 that narrowly split a three-way tie with 50 Cent’s G-Unity and Lil Wayne’s spacesuit covers.

Then, of course, there were those that drew controversy, like Bone Thugs-N-Harmony snagging 44% of the popular vote for 2002. The victory came after the original ballots—which had 2Pac in second place, despite earning 2,400+ votes—were tossed due to a questionable “cheat code” posted on a message board that opened the door for the possibility of an unfair advantage. Rather than wrongfully disqualifying anyone, a revote was called and Bone fans remained united, catapulting the Cleveland group to the second round.

Now, that you’re up to speed, it’s time to cast your final votes for the Best XXL Cover of the Millennium. From now until Thursday (January 21), readers will be able to vote once per day on their favorite cover out of the Top 10. Then, on Friday, January 22, we’ll announce the reader’s choice for the Best XXL Cover of the Millennium.

Without further ado, your nominees are...
